Bunapi

Despite its unassuming appearance, the BunapiĀ® mushroom offers a surprising combination of crunchy texture and smooth, nutty flavor. Its firmness stands up well to savory herbs like thyme and hearty dishes like stir-fries and wild game. The Bunapi is somewhat bitter in its raw state, but very enjoyable once cooked. Try it in soups, stews, or your favorite sauces. It also makes a great meat substitute in your favorite recipes.

The Bunapi is a Hokto original, developed from our efforts to breed Bunashimeji mushrooms. It can be served in small clusters or hand-broken into individual stems. Cut off and discard the base of the cluster before enjoying.

Bunapi offers a delicious source of antioxidants, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals. It offers a significant source of niacin (35% daily value), and is low in calories and cholesterol-free.
